We rebuild these as spa suites: a large curbless shower with slab stone walls, a linear drain, frameless glass, steam if the ceiling height allows, and multiple shower heads on separate valves. Heated floors under stone or large-format porcelain, a freestanding tub set where it makes architectural sense rather than in a corner deck, custom double vanities in furniture-grade cabinetry, and lighting layered for both grooming and evening. Where the house has an adjoining closet, we frequently replan the two together.
