Bear grew fast through the 1990s and 2000s along the Route 40 corridor, and the neighborhoods here share a common profile: two-story homes with three or four bedrooms, standard vinyl siding, oak or maple builder cabinets, and a nine-foot unfinished basement that was rough-plumbed for a future bath and then left alone.
